I hear your points, but PSFT does all of their mid-market implementations off site in a controlled environment and most of them are done by partners. They have little to no control over the partners, who they hire, what approach they follow and the partners are far more likely to discount... Also, with improvements in automated methodologies, communications over intranets and the automated tools like Rose, Select, SQA and others, I don't see it being too long until it is a matter of manufacturing pre-developed components instead of writing code. Once that occurs, it is no different than any other manufacturing game- take it overseas.
