rudedog..The Forbes article was directed for the most part at the commercial markets buying only PCs. As you point out, CPQ is "THE" player in the retail market. The 380 million K6's AMD sold last Q flowed straight through CPQ. There had to be some serious coin made there.

rudedog.... "Maybe I should have sold the 27.5 CPQ I bought in June at yesterday's close, looks like
market insanity may drive us a little lower, and I could maybe pick it up at 23-24... maybe
I'll do that tomorrow. No guts, no glory." ARE YOU SERIOUS??? EL

Maybe I should have sold the 27.5 CPQ I bought in June at yesterday's close, looks like market insanity may drive us a little lower, and I could maybe pick it up at 23-24... maybe I'll do that tomorrow. No guts, no glory.

Why on earth would you sell CPQ now at a loss when you could have sold at $38 less than a month ago? My advice: Don't EVER Sell at a loss with a Stock you know will eventually go back up. When you start trying to play these games of selling at a loss and trying to buy back cheaper you eventually get burned.

Why don't you sell cover calls into strength if you are going to hold for long term,
or sell around earnings' strength. Personally I'd hold till mid nov's rally.
