Ron , I read the article by Armstrong to which you refer. Is there a consensus regarding his stated sequence of events that date back to early 80's. That is lower US corporate tax rates bring money to US, dollar talked down by Baker leading to money moving to Japan that peaks in the real estate bubble in Jan 90 and so on to Mexico and South East Asia etc.

Of course, things are always more complicated than they appear, but I am interested in learning what the underlying causes are. Comments anybody?
