Pravin,
RE:' 400s being shipped...
It's been discussed but the Intelabees they are still in denial.
Besides, Jerrys comment wasn't that concrete...
Seems like the market wants to take everything out and shoot it right now. One of the definitions of a bear market. Bad news is taken to heart and good news is just ignored.
Let us pray for mighty Intel to beat estimates by a mile.
I'd like some reassurance from Paul just like we gave him that AMD would post a profit but I fear he just doesn't get that information.
Jim

Pravin,

I'm surprised that there isn't any talk on this thread about the fact that AMD is already shipping 400 Mhz K6-2 in this quarter (maybe I missed it in late night posts last night).

What the heck does this mean? Coming from Jerry Sanders, I'd normally take this statement with one huge grain of salt. If Sanders is referring to 400 MHz samples, then by his definition, Intel's Katmai was already shipping during the summer. But if Sanders meant that the Tier 1 guys like Compaq are getting their 400 MHz K6-2 systems ready for the Christmas season, then that would be good news.

And by the way, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO AMD STOCK TODAY?!? Guess I'll be holding onto AMD for a little longer than I thought. Seems like I bought hoping to ride the wave after an upside surprise. Now that I find out that people were "expecting a surprise" yesterday, I guess the surprise is on me.
