Still learning Level II. A bag of tricks it is. Before I exited IMNR this AM with a minor loss, I noticed the bid side of the screen was perpetually much shorter than the right, with a lot less shares. How would you read this?? stock should be declining, right? Well IMNR kept going up! As the balance shifted to the bid side the thing began to decline. The exact opposite of how I thought things should go. A bit confused. As CIEN is heading up.. same picture.

Doesn't make sense to me. I would think if there were a ton of shares on the offer, competition would force the offer price downward. or is it in reverse order i.e. The shares on the offer are there because they see the demand is good.... Rashid

Perhaps what really matters is what actually trades. Kind of like the auto classifieds: what is asked doesn't mean that's what trades.
