Here is the rosiest picture I can paint for longs:

Here are the two coinciding events: The market, especially Nasdaq, is very weak and Checkfree is building what hopes to be a successful company. The best case scenario is that Checkfree becomes very successful and the market comes back strong. So this time period we are in now is a true BUYING opportunity if you believe that they will be successful in the long run and you have a long-term time horizon.

Instead of a strong market now, if you believe in CKFR, where you buy expensive shares, you have the opportunity to buy cheap shares because of market weakness and a correction in the Internet sector. I think this same feeling goes for a lot of technology/internets....

Cash is king to maximize opportunity to buy cheap shares of plenty of companies...I think the long-term holders will be winners because the market will come back and all of this e-commerce stuff we read about, discuss, debate, some of us take trips to Florida, constantly, over and over is for real...JMO

Thank you for the notion in one of your posts a few weeks ago about taking advantage of the tax loss scenario. I think this, in addition to the world financial system degrading, is one of the reasons we're hitting bottom.

How low she goes now doesn't really matter this time next year (I hope). I still like this one for a long term winner. The only problem is that the path to success is filled with tears. Nothing comes easy.
