jhild,
I weep with joy. Someone finally understands. No one else I know has these moths. I thought maybe I'd created them from the fabric of my imagination, a bad housewife's dream incarnate.
I tried and tried-I sprayed them with everything i could find. I'm surprised we're not all dead. The exterminator said he had nothing that could kill them. They multiplied. There were more moths than cheerios in the cereal box. They get up in the ceiling in the those little tiny air spaces---they get into packages that have never been opened.
Finally one morning I threw everything out. EVerything. All the things I've had for years, knowing someday a recipe would call for them. Like the jar of capers. And some Alaskan salmon in a sealed bag. And couscous.
I played Chariots of Fire really loud---it inspires me. (God gave me a gift, Jenny. He made me to clean pantries. And when I clean I feel His pleasure!
Then I washed everything down with chlorox and then I painted it. I painted over worms and cocoons and dead moth bodies. I painted it white-clean, pure Home Depot UltraWhite.
Last week CW opened the pantry door and screamed, "They're Baa-a-ck!!"
I don't think I can face them again.
I'm older. Jaded. Tired.
Surely we can all get along in harmony.
It's a small world after all.
