Glad you remembered me from the Spring of 97.

I think stocks nowadays are much more vulnerable to manipulation by spin doctors than any other times in the past. Individuals not comfortable with the strange neighborhood should just stay home for the time being; however, long-term investors should by no means sell because of psychological pressure, and the bold ones willing to assume risks will have an excellent chance to strike rich.

With regard to entry points into quality stocks, I think the price points are less useful than the time points as the market is now totally news driven, rather than driven by fundies or business conditions. If you have more than 6 to 9 months on the time horizon, you can't go wrong with any of the big caps: CSCO, DELL, MSFT, ATI, etc.
