Man. This is amazing. I mean I think so.
Below is the verbatim text of an ICQ conversation I had earlier today, describing lunch to one of our friends here. This is what goes with the two main Indian dishes:

The entire dish is served with a raita, which is a cooling, tart, unsweetened yogurt blended with cucumber shreds, cumin, mint, and a bit of lime or something.

Raitas don't come up in conversation that often.

Rice is good with hot food. When I cook my Texas Red I serve it over rice with some grated cheddar on top. No beans in my Texas Red so the rice is needed for the carbs.
