Anyone want to extend their condolences to Mr. Robertson?

Hedge-fund Tiger Management lost almost $2 billion Wednesday as the dollar plunged against the yen, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday. Even with double-digit loses in September and on Wednesday, the fund, managed by Julian Robertson Jr., has posted gains of about 10 percent so far this year. Tiger Management had placed one of Wall Street's biggest bets against the yen and the Japanese stock market, giving it huge gains for most of the year. The fund began buying yen on Thursday to unwind its positions, further contributing to the dollar's fall, the Journal said.
