suggests that C-Cube may be the current volume leader in SVCD capable systems (but someone on the Zoran thread suggested that at least some CVD players can't handle SVCD correctly). Also, at least two other chip companies announced SVCD solutions a while ago.

But yes, I think C-Cube joining the SVCD standard is better for everyone (including both C-Cube and the SVCD providers) rather than creating market-confusion between incompatable SVCD-CVD products like the DIVX guys seem to want.
