I have a question. Recent (past 5 years) holistic theory recommends Glucosamine sulfate and Condroitan sulfate to treat arthritis.
The book "The Arthritis Cure" written by and MD and supported by many natural food experts calls for 2000mg or more of these substances daily.
How does this compute with the information you provided about the negative effects of sulphur loving bacteria in your opinion?

Regards,

Bob Myers

I read in a mainstream paper that some of the big food companies are developing probiotic products. What do you know about this?

The only Lifeway products in the local health store I use most often are sugar-flavored; the plain low fat kefir is harder to find. This seems paradoxical from the health standpoint.
