C$CO was down like 11 days in a row. It was due for a bounce. I agreed with you this morning, I thought DELL and C$CO and some others were overdone. Too bad I didn't stick with it, there goes $20,000 out the window.

The part that bothers me though, is the fact that DELL and C$CO and a few others came back, but many others got even worse. That's not how bottoms are formed, where you are making record new lows. Sure the generals are always the first to get the money, but usually the rest of the market at least stops going down. It shouldn't get worse. Look at the small stocks, creamed again. That just tells me that people were buying DELL and C$CO for a bounce because people are taught to buy stocks like that down 10 points.

Anyway I just care about AMZN anyway, DELL can go up all it wants.

Anindo, I'd be careful. I don't think this is over by a long shot. Could be in price with some of these issues, but not in time. The market is marking-up risk. That premium won't disappear easily.

I remember the tech blood-letting in 1994. Morgan's strategists Biggs/Wien said that there was no hurry to reinvest...and the market unwound and consolidated for 8 months. From my disconnected travelling point of view, I think this is no time to be taking long-term risk.

I wasn't around for trading today so I didn't get a sense of the reversal many here felt. Bear markets have a way of preserving hope while separating you from your money...
