I would worry more about the recent cpq action if it was counter to the market. IMO the stock is just following the recent market trend. Maybe all the folks who were selling shares today were hoping to buy back in at a lower price. I have no idea how q4 is going, but I know for a fact q3 went quite well, especially consumer sales. Hopefully, some time between now and asap this global scare will go away, and steady growth in our and other countries economies can continue.

K - good points. I think 'compaq classic' is in good shape, but there is certainly a chance for some weakness in DEC's high end products, given the pressure that HP was putting on the DEC Alpha lines. And I know there has been some disarray in the DEC sales force as they get assimilated into the CPQ field. I have no info on this, but have not heard about any serious problems.

We'll know the answer here pretty quick, I'm betting on the upside...
