Borzou I totally agree with your post. I must admit WWII history doesnt interest me as much as some other historical periods although I have read a few books on the topic a while ago. I was trying to refute JLAs claim that leftist governments ushered in WWII. Of course it comes down to your definition of the word "leftist" - not sure who those were. But, you and I slightly disagree in that I think economic conditions were the primary cause of JLAs so called "moral decline", Im not sure I would say capitalism was the cause but it appears we can agree that it was based in economics, no? My point is that "moral declines" I feel are generally a result of economic circumstances, not the other way around. Michelle
