NEWS...I love it! TSC: AlliedSignal SBU awards TSC $5.5
million PeopleSoft implementation project

Presswire - October 09, 1998 13:47

M2 PRESSWIRE-9 October 1998-TSC: AlliedSignal SBU awards TSC
$5.5 million PeopleSoft implementation project (C)1994-98 M2
COMMUNICATIONS LTD

-- TSC to help streamline processes of the federal manufacturing and
technologies SBU, reduce operating expenses and eliminate costly
maintenance of current legacy system

Technology Solutions Company (TSC) (NASDAQ: TSCC) today
announced it has been selected by AlliedSignal's (NYSE: ALD) Federal
Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) strategic business unit to implement
PeopleSoft's (NASDAQ: PSFT) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
solution. AlliedSignal is a premier supplier of defense-related products and
services and a prime contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy.

"AlliedSignal evaluated several PeopleSoft implementation partners and
selected TSC based on several factors including their experience with
PeopleSoft's manufacturing, distribution and Red Pepper applications, their
senior-level resources, and their process-based methodology," said Bill
Ross, AlliedSignal ERP Project Manager.

TSC will work with AlliedSignal FM&T to transition and replace its
homegrown custom legacy systems with the PeopleSoft product suite.
Additionally, TSC's Change and Learning Technologies group will deliver
change management consulting to strategically guide the entire AlliedSignal
FM&T organization through the change management process towards a
successful ERP implementation, and will develop a comprehensive
education and training package designed to tactically optimize the
assimilation to the PeopleSoft environment for AlliedSignal users.

"We believe AlliedSignal's selection of TSC clearly demonstrates our
expertise with complex, enterprise-wide PeopleSoft environments," adds
John Page, TSC vice president. "We believe that TSC will continue to lead
the market in providing results-oriented ERP implementations to
manufacturing clients worldwide."

Implementation of PeopleSoft will help AlliedSignal FM&T support better
decision-making at all levels in the organization by providing more timely
and relevant information; reduced operation costs and cycle times;
improved information sharing, and the elimination of maintenance for a
complex legacy system. In addition to allowing for the improvement of
internal operations, it can also improve customer response time, effectively
manage production capacity and supply chain throughput with suppliers and
vendors, and significantly reduce the cost of product management.

To support TSC's strong project management approach, the company has
developed a comprehensive and unique toolset that addresses the
accelerated implementation of PeopleSoft's solution suite. This proprietary
engineering methodology integrates Best Practices, PeopleSoft process
models, change management, education and training which minimizes
customization and maximizes the realization of project benefits. This
methodology establishes out-of-the-box PeopleSoft based processes that
can be rapidly implemented to reduce the overall time frame and cost of the
implementation. TSC's extensive manufacturing and distribution experience
as well as a strong focus on supply chain integration packaged solutions
allowed TSC to become a Founding Member of the PeopleSoft
Manufacturing Program.

AlliedSignal Federal Manufacturing & Technologies is a prime contractor
for the U.S. Department of Energy. The Kansas City Plant has been
producing high quality electrical, mechanical, and engineered materials for
weapons production since 1949, and offers a world-class technology base
to industry and other government entities. The company is a recent recipient
of the Hammer Award presented by Vice President Gore and the National
Performance Review for cost savings and delivery performance, as well as
the DOE and Missouri Quality Awards. Technology Solutions Company

software, supply chain management, IT strategy, advanced networked
computing, telecommunications, and financial services. In September of
1998, TSC was named one of the fastest growing companies in America by
FORTUNE Magazine. The company has headquarters in Chicago with
major offices throughout the U.S. and in Canada, Latin America, Australia,
and Europe. Information on TSC can be found at www.techsol.com.

hi GJD,

what a difference a day makes!

It's hard to suffer (paper)losses, but worse to actually sell a good company under price.

I'm enchanted. Have a drink!

See You folks in a week - I leave for vacation on a cool northsea island (and stay invested) to drink coffee with rum and whipped cream (Pharisäer).

Regards Lutz
