do your Homework. Go ask the MB vendors what they buy the MB's for, and add in the price of PC100 memory.

Or very simply, answer the question of why AMD's ASP is $100 when the advertized prices of most of their chips are greater than $100.

Go check pricewatch.com. The cheapest 440LX MB is $59, while the cheapest 3dNow MB is $64.

Add in PC100 memory for the 3DNow MB.
