The monkeys are gone? I went to the 3dfx web site to see these monkeys for myself. What I saw was a photo of two boards (both with monitor connectors) connected with an SLI cable, and the caption "coming October 12" Now I'd like to say that some of you guys are really overblowing this "hype" thing IMO. They put a teaser on the Web site for a week, and that's supposed to be "hype"?? Please remember nvidea and keep things in perspective :-) I don't see anything wrong with an ad campaign trying to move some more V2s... We're so desperately looking for some news, any news, and then so rampantly speculating on every little nugget -- we are the ones creating the hype. 3dfx has hardly said a word about it. Another idea for the board... you know how nvidea is always trailing their PRs with "NVIDEA, RIVA, and TNT should be written in ALL CAPS".... What say we mock them a little -- when referring to nvidea, type NVIDEA!!!... as in "I saw some more hype from NVIDEA!!! over on C-Net..."
