jbe, Robert paraphrased my original post about Jocelyn Elders' statements about legalizing drugs.... I was laughing at the fact that she had the nerve to say it, or was a little naive to know what it would do to her politically is all. I think she was a breath of fresh air, but sometimes those controversial types cant seem to get anything done is the problem.

Off Topic: regarding Elders and drugs. << How can it EVER be wrong to discuss public policies, especially policies that do not seem to be working very well. >> The attacks against J. Elders, for daring to confront the difficult issues of our times, instead of the conservative "head in sand" approach, should have been a wakeup call to the moderates and liberals in our country. Unfortunately, the moderates and liberals haven't woken up yet. Perhaps this November...........
