jbe, Robert paraphrased my original post about Jocelyn Elders' statements about legalizing drugs.... I was laughing at the fact that she had the nerve to say it, or was a little naive to know what it would do to her politically is all. I think she was a breath of fresh air, but sometimes those controversial types cant seem to get anything done is the problem.

The attacks against J. Elders, for daring to confront the difficult issues of our times, instead of the conservative "head in sand" approach, should have been a wakeup call to the moderates and liberals in our country.

Unfortunately, the moderates and liberals haven't woken up yet. Perhaps this November...........
