Pfieffer wouldn't be saying positive things less than a week before earnings unless he felt confident. If the inventory is lowest in history then I can't imagine that channel-stuffing will be implicated again. CPQ dare not do that (getting burnt twice would not be taken well in this market).

If CPQ announces good news nest week look for DELL to rise quickly.

You cannot trust anything Pfeiffer or any other Compaq official says, in my opinion and experience with that piece of crap...CPQ is an ideal company to short over the long term.. They showed what they are when they decieved investors on the earnings picture shortly after buying DEC, when the CFO said publicly he was "comfortable" with the impending earning picture for the quarter that was coming shortly, then 2 weeks later, he tells the world that the earnings were going to be flat!!...It was later revealed that they had been stuffing the channels big time!!!...IMO, they are in deep trouble, regardless of what misleading crap they put out to the investing public.
