chief,
If I may.....I use Action Direct for RRSP trades and realtime quotes over the phone and their order system through the phone is pretty quick....good confirmation of order status...etc..... the bid seems to pop up between 1 and 3 minutes......NOW,,,I AGREE that that can be an eternity....but...their internet trading will get better if they are working on it....

Investorline...using phone trading is quicker than Action Direct...haven't tried their internet trading yet.

Well, everyone, it has been a hell of a week! Remember that this weekend is for giving thanks (in Canada, anyway) and really, we have so very much to be thankful for. So we may have lost a little cash or maybe we sold too soon and gave up some profit... big deal!

Remember the poor people in Eastern Europe, the flood victims in China and the homeless in your own communities. It will put things into perspective! Look around at the houses you live in, the family that surrounds you and the beautiful and peaceful countries we call home. Forget the markets, the profits and losses and take in the good things.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL

PEACE

Chief, I am glad Action Direct is finally getting their stuff together. Used to use them when theirs would only work on the phone modem.. real pain.

I really can't say anything bad about e-trade lately. Did 3 trades today and had less than 20 sec trade on two of them. Was I ever impressed. Of course I am using cable so that is faster. They were both market sells but by the time I clicked back on my java tickers, the trade had gone through. I am finding stockwatch and e-trade a pretty good combination for all I have to pay a month.

Even though I am soon to be gravitating to US stocks
sooner than later, that sounds great! for some of
those Canadian trades that will undoubtedly occur.
Look forward to your analysis on Royal's system.
Is this who you use now, or do you have to set up a
new acct. with them?

Best Regards
