Michael,

Do you think that CCU is worth another trounce on a bounce to 45?...it seems that the bigger they are the harder they fall...or was there something new added with the acquisition of Jacor?....i could not see it on a quick glance, but then again what do i know ? (don't bother answering the last question) (g).

Jerry

Mike:

CNBC repeatedly said today the Fed was going to cut rates (always accompanied by a disclaimer of it being a rumor), and Wayne Angel was reported to be calling clients to alert them that the Fed would be cutting rates (again, another rumor). I wasn't able to follow the bond market today, but I heard bonds made a dramatic reversal...if that's true, then I suspect that whichever hedge fund was unwinding a short treasuries position has completed the move, and the Japanese repatriation of money has finally shown its effect on bonds. If this is true, then the bond market and the dollar will continue to be pressured (which seems likely, as the commercials have a large short position). So how in the heck is AG supposed to cut rates?

Best regards, Merritt

MB, If the market ever gets as bad as you, MVV, Joe G., Skeets, etc. predict, I won't jump out a window. I'll just start eating raw oysters and steak tartar again. Isn't it amazing how many things we eat are bad for us.The Bible tells us it's what comes out of our mouth that defiles us(MATT 15:10-20)not what goes in. Wonder if someone should tell Clinton. I recently underwent prostate surgery(no cancer, all parts still function, but can't wear my bikini now). As a result, I have come to realize that every major organ in my body is trying to kill me and one of them will eventually be successful( unless I get run over by a truck on my way to the health food store). I am thankful for every day and try to spend them wisely doing what pleasures me and doesn't harm others. I only wish I had learned this long ago<G>
