It is my fear that the "government" of Florida is going to get more conservative, by getting a Republican Governor. This is because the Democratic Party down here has really been stupid in keeping Buddy MacKay as their candidate, in the face of obvious rejection by the public, IMHO. << Could it be that America is becoming more conservative? I believe that the Religious Right is using tax free donations and earnings to push their goals of limited personal freedoms, and a sectarian country, down America's throats. I don't think anyone will have to do anything about it. The Religious Right WILL gain control of this country. Of this I have no doubt. The American public will only wake up after the pain gets severe. Of course, if the Democrats or Republicans could lore better candidates, the public would probably bother to vote more often, and the RR would not get their way. Once the RR gains control, it will take a few years of religious persecution, of the minority religions, and of draconian measures implemented by the RR, who don't have a clue about the real world, before there will be a voter backlash that will cause significant harm to the RR movement. In other words, the RR will shot itself in the foot. The RR can push their sectarian beliefs, and make a ton of money doing it, but when it comes to governing, they will be as disastrous as it has been shown in the past. Now, how do you feel about "do it yourself" abortion kits? Would you like me to send you some, so that you can pass them out to your friend(s)?
