Mohan and Laura,

It saddens me to think that John Meriwether of LMTC, after ruining the lives of (hundreds of) thousands of people, is still sitting pretty in his posh office in Greenwich, while Bill Clinton, unwittingly having his senses overrun by his glands, is being kicked out as President.

The scale of justice is grossly tilted.... IMHO. Whom has Clinton hurt anyway besides Hillary and Chelsea?

Mohan & All: Dell's ASP's...

I went through the Dell catalog for the months of July '98, Aug, Sept., and Oct. The catalog contains a page the lists the details and pricing of seven computers. I added up the price of the seven systems and divided by 7 in order to get an ASP. I followed this procedure for each of the catalogs. Here's what I came up with.

July's ASP $2,484; Aug. $2,527; Sept. $2,493; and, Oct. $2,567.

The average of these four ASP's is $2,517

The month-over-month percentage change is: July/Aug. +1.73%; Aug./Sept. -1.34%; Sept./Oct. +2.97%

The change from July to Oct is +3.34%

Given this analysis, I fail to see how Dell is suffering any ASP erosion.

Comments appreciated.
