OT OT Definitive post, Nihil, although I disagree with your apologetics. Our whole society is degraded by tomcat ethics marching under the banner of "liberation from outmoded codes." I'm aghast at women's approval of the First Tomcat; which of them permit their husbands such license, or consent to their daughters being so used as Monica? "Primitive cultures" have commonly enshrined sex, enslaved women, bound their feet, sacrificed girls to gods, burned wives on pyres, denied women franchise and education, stranded grandmothers on icebergs, practiced henious cliterodectomy and generally treated females as chattle. Western Indian tribes dismantled a brave's tent and refused the widow food/shelter so she froze or starved to death. Women have been sold down the river for centuries to satisfy unbridled male lust. The resentment such atrocities produced in womenfolk annihilates natural affection at the hearth. Such a price for Monica, et al. Western Civilization influenced by the Ten Commandments protected women and marriage, assuring most children a proper set of parents, and under this God-ordained structure dignified men, and women, and their children. Nothing so stabilizes a civilization or personality as strong families, nor is there a greater declaration of manliness than a father with wife and children at table; heads turn to admire. A teacher wrote of my grandson: "He sets the standard for the rest of the children." The question: Do you want a good life or a good time? Surveys show the religious are more sexually satisfied. Nothing so forecloses the future of a girl as an illegitimate child, nor so damages the innocent child. Our prisons are filled with fatherless boys, sons of Tomcats who deprive their issue of name and station and cause their mother's to become murderesses. Doctors in this immoral utopia are chief murderers, smashing the skulls of half-born infants. In valleys of blood called Topheths ancient Ammmonites, Canaanites, Philistines, Carthaginians and eventually Israelites burned alive their sons and daughters in the arms of Baal and Chemosh. The infants often the result of temple prostitution. The modern Topheths is a hospital; Doctors the sacrificial priests. The god is Sexual Freedom, not Baal; and the White House is a Whorehouse. Your reference to the woman caught in adultery is an unscriptural fable inserted in John 8 subsequent to the original manuscripts, yet every drunk falling off a barstool stammers this interpolation. Do Christian principles work? When people know you sincerely strive to imitate Christ they trust you, and you respect yourself.
