I'm entry level in this stuff but trying to learn how to write. Below is a small chunk of a scan to keep my question simple. I just can't figure out why I get an "unexpected letter" on the "a" after "if". Thanks to anyone who has the time Alan (MovAvg(0,10,a) + ((MovAvg(0,10,b)2) + ((MovAvg(0,10,c)3)+((MovAvg(0,15,d)4))> (MovAvg(-1,10,j) + ((MovAvg(-1,10,k)2) + ((MovAvg(-1,10,l)3)+((MovAvg(-1,15,m)4)) The movavg function requires a token as the third parameter. To get a ten day ma of a 10 day roc, SET ROC = 10; a := movavg( 0 , 10 , roc ); SET ROC = 15; b := movavg( 0 , 10 , roc ); a will contain today's vaue for the 10 day ma for a 10 period roc. b will contain today's vaue for the 10 day ma for a 15 period roc.
