we could be up as much as 200 to 240 points at some point in the day but it should reverse by day's end or tomorrow so STAY short. Things are going to be volatile and not good for trading. The trend is down... stick w/ it.

Thean,
<<Long term calls>>
They may not be cheap enough for you due to strength since early Sep., and I can't do just one or two, but you might want to do your TA magic on GP, WY, and MMM. I, for one would sure like to see your read. They should at least qualify as fundamental stocks and may be seeing some mo mo action. Maybe if not long term there's still some good short term plays there.

Just on a lark, you might want to check out this bazar little Australian oil STOSY. Beta's about .7 and it turned up early Sep. too.

PS. And don't forget Nuc's SWC. Palladium has developed a whole non-jewelry market in catalytic converters, electrical contacts, cellular, and other "real" uses. SWC is the ONLY US source. The wild cards are Russia and, of course, the big LT.

A bit more STOSY info:
Tough to find any, but if we can believe Datek, STOSY has announced $.76 exdiv 10/20 somewhere. If true, that would be >6% based on today's close. Suppose that might move the stock a bit between now and 10/21?
