Robert,$22ish with sig. under unlikely to be seen.

If $22 is the bottom it will be ironic since $22 was the DW bottom in absolute terms in 1996 (presplit).

re: Is this what all you TA guys refer to as a "breakout"?

No, this is called "hitting the top of its trading range, and maybe extending the range a bit up (from 27 to 28), just as it recently extended the range a bit down (from 22.5 to 21.5)."

If you want to buy on despair, enter a limit buy order for 22. It will fill, sooner than you think.

If you want to sell on euphoria, you'd better do so very quickly. This opportunity will be fleeting. The problem with buying at a breakout is that they are only obvious in retrospect.

NVLS's earnings are meaningless. It's the bookings that matter. As I said a while ago, until bookings turn up, all rallies will be false rallies. And, just as we had about 7 false rallies up to 40 in AMAT (in the 9 months up to August), we'll now have many more opportunities to lose money, while we gyrate in a lower trading range.
