Michelle, I wonder how much of baan's loss is the result of the new accounting methodology they put in place....at least I think they did.

Missing estimates by .30 is a pretty big miss,IMO. Doesn't look like they were too specific in their reasons other than world economic conditions, etc.

Could someone refresh my memory here. Didn't baan have all those issues with how they were accounting for software licenses, specifically what was deferred vs. booked in the current period. And didn't they change that policy recently?? If so, this could be a major part of the reason. I just can't remember all the specifics here, e.g. did they go back and restate all their previous revenue??I don't remember that happening.

fwiw, missing by this much cannot be solely attributed to world economic conditions and market volatility.... like I said, missing by .28-.31 is no small miss..
