You sound very excited about this. You've posted this article twice, Maverick. Er--I mean Pauleron. Tell me, does it surprise you that Gateway is using the 450 MHz Xeon?

Would it surprise you if Gateway announced they were using a K6-2?

Maybe now you can see why one anouncement is irrelevant, and the other (if it happens) would be significant.

In any case, only a pure sucker would buy a Xeon for their home computer--unless their whole house is networked off of it.

What do you think the chances are the rest, (Dell, cpq, hp, ibm) will follow suit and offer 450Mhz Xeons? Hope they sell well.
