Scam, can't really say it was..but to me it was just simply poor management on JC's part. He wanted to find easy gold by exploring instead of actual production of Brush Creek. Another factor was his lead engineer in the beginning of last year, he lead the company down the wrong path in the tunneling of brush creek, which was why he was fired (IMO).

Sure ppl went to the mine and saw what they thought was gold, but who knows what they saw (pyrite maby). What begauls me is that Brush Creek, was a producing mine prior to the beginning of WW2, when the government shut them down, and JC wandered off the path by exploring other mines..
