Jas - Tim will be gone after earnings and on to another company. I am interested to see what XYLN says in their conference call. Remember the WorldCom Brook's Fiber purchase. I recall that Brook's Fibre was a large customer of Xylan. Is the new MCI (the merger of MCI and WorldCom) going to use Xylan switches in their system build out?

Also, I was excited about Xyln's move into Australia. What Xylan needs is a partner like LU, MCI, Northern Telecom, or Alcatel to help build out these new telecommunication systems. There will not be any take out or merger IMO.

The company has previously stated that they want to maintain their independence. Perhaps management has rethought this position and may announce something in their conference call. My guess would be a more involved relationship with MCI.
