Sure seems to be trying to work it but I'm of a mind that there is more bad news in the works with respect to earnings.

Perhaps it's just because a lot of what I hear on Television is that all the bad news is out. I always take the media as a contrary indicator. It was pointed out to me once; a study a woman trader I know performed, that "by and large" it is stunning to see how many times a headline predominates and the market reacts accordingly .... then roughly 3 days after the market spins on a dime and goes the other way.

I could think of a few examples but nothing recent, as I forgot about that study until just now.

Of course, there are no major headlines shouting that "The Worst is Over" but I hear it repeated so often it makes me wonder.
