Mama Bear,

I was busted for the same thing at Discover Brokerage a couple years ago. I shorted a stock, covered the next day and shorted it again that same day. The broker was never very clear about the exact wording of the rule and, in fact, seemed confused but the guy in the margin department wasn't.
