E.Charters, I don't mean to be argumentative, but you have contradicted yourself. You state that you are against lending money to incompetents or crooks and I couldn't agree more, however you then go on to state that Lebed is the only answer. In fact Lebed is presently making alliances with the very same people that Western sources accuse of ferreting huge sums of money out of Russia. Lebed scares the hell out of me. Russia is disintegrating and there is very little we can do except demand a say in how "our" money is going to be spent, that is provided we lend them anymore.
