Sand's partners continue to introduce new innovative products in the data field:

Acxiom(R) Corporation's InfoBase(TM) TeleSource
Provides Call Centers Superior Coverage and
Sub-Second Delivery of Data

Acxiom's Infobase TeleSource Is Now Delivered Via
the Acxiom Data Network(SM)

October 19, 1998 08:05 AM

CONWAY, Ark., Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Acxiom(R)
Corporation ACXM today announced the release of
Acxiom's comprehensive telephone data product,
InfoBase(TM) TeleSource, now available via the Acxiom
Data Network(SM). It provides call centers with new and
improved phone append/reverse phone append features
that offer superior coverage, the highest match rates in
the industry, and sub-second delivery of data -- data on
demand.

Consumers have discovered the convenience of ordering
products and services over the telephone. It is through
InfoBase TeleSource, via the Acxiom Data Network, that
Acxiom provides a phone data product with a powerful,
instantaneous phone append/reverse phone append
service -- something that call centers must have to be
successful and effective. Phone append and reverse
phone append features enable a client to automatically
access a multi- sourced national database of 150+
million residential and business lists and appends the
telephone number(s) to name and address data, or
names and address data to phone numbers,
respectively.

InfoBase TeleSource provides an additional 35 million
telephone listings not available on any telephone data
product. "Our phone append feature utilizes a high
speed, tiered search logic that automatically expands
the search area until a match is found. It provides
information about multiple individuals and our match
rates average 80%," noted Mark Theilken, Group Leader
for the Acxiom Data Network.

When using InfoBase TeleSource via the Acxiom Data
Network, the reverse phone append feature is available in
two editions, the Client Server Edition and the Enterprise
Edition. Each edition provides a unique set of features
and benefits including access to the InfoBase
TeleSource 150+ million consumer and business listings
-- the most comprehensive coverage of any telephone
data product. "We believe InfoBase TeleSource provides
the highest match rate in the industry," said Theilken.
"This results in improved performance and increased
revenue for the client. Both the Client Server and
Enterprise Editions provide high capacity throughput via
a leased line or the Internet, supplying onsite call center
operators with sub-second delivery of caller name and
address data."

The Client Server Edition is designed to meet the needs
of mid-sized to small customers who prefer to use the
Internet or want the application hosted onsite. According
to Theilken, "Client Server's easy-to-integrate Software
Developers Kit (SDK) technology allows customers to
install it quickly making their operators productive as
soon as possible. Acxiom has made the most up-
to-date source of telephone information available for use
24-hours a day. We have compiled the best sources of
telephone data through the use of innovative technology,
stressing speed, accuracy and coverage."

The Enterprise Edition is geared for high volume call
centers. Available online on a transaction-by-transaction
basis or through an automated express batch option
(which can provide turnaround of hundreds of thousands
of records in just a matter of hours), the Enterprise
Edition has significant flexibility. Customer support for
either edition is available around the clock, seven days a
week.

In addition to Acxiom's proprietary access agreements,
the phone append feature provides clients with the
benefit of Acxiom's new, patent pending, AcxiKey
technology. AcxiKey, is a major breakthrough in
database access technology. "Acxiom has identified a
unique key for each individual in the United States.
When a client sends Acxiom their name and address
data, Acxiom applies an AcxiKey to the name and
address file. The AcxiKey is then used to match it with
its InfoBase phone number data, thus eliminating
matching problems that continue to plague other
telephone data products," reported Theilken.

Acxiom provides a wide spectrum of data products, data
integration services, mailing list services, modeling and
analysis, and information technology outsourcing
services, as well as data warehousing and decision
support services to major U.S. and international firms.
Founded in 1969, Acxiom is headquartered in Conway,
Arkansas, with operations throughout the United States
and in the United Kingdom and France. Acxiom's World
Wide Web address is (URL) acxiom.com or
e-mail to info@acxiom.com. To order or learn more
about InfoBase TeleSource via the Acxiom Data
Network, please call Acxiom at 1.800.646.8495.
