The R&D firm was called GAD (Gallium Arsenide Diodes), I believe. The brains behind it were Russian scientists. The MOT deal fell through, for unknown reasons. They actually did obtain a contract with a small company in Oregon, but I can't remember the name. The company in Oregon cancelled the contract, we think because of the inability of ISSM (GAD) to mass produce diodes with consistent quality.

If you can go back into the archives, there is a tremendous amount of high quality research and discussion on this thread. If for some strange reason anyone is interested in this company, the easiest way to begin your DD would be to go back and review this thread. There is great detail about almost any information that was obtainable about ISSM/GAD, including history of the company, major players, contact people, phone numbers, contracts, Reg S financing, etc, etc. At one time, this was a hot penny stock. But, it turned out to be just short of an overt stock scam, IMO. Many, including me, were burned big time. I would be really, really skeptical about investing a penny in ISSM. Maybe some of the old timers that used to post here can confirm this. I would really hate to see others taken for the ride we were.
