I used to be proud of the Republican party, but they're lost and confused, being bullied by religious conservatives.

It used to be a Republican was against big government, now its ok.

It used to be Republicans were against intrusive government, not now.

It used to be Government should stay the heck out of an individuals rights to privacy, religion and morals.. not any more.

The Larouche people are not true socialists, Les, they are simply loonies. (Oops -- I apologize to any Larouchies who may be hanging out here.) For example, I gather they maintain that the Lewinsky affair was cooked up somehow by the Mossad, in an elaborate screwball conspiracy.

The traditional radical left will have nothing to do with either of the two "capitalist parties." I have posted links to their materials in the past. (My favorite title: "Clinton is More Conservative than Reagan and Bush.")

As for fringe groups, the Republicans still have a lock on The John Birch Society. So don't feel too bad! <gg>
