I agree with the assertion that the news today is a red flag for an earnings surprise. I am crossing my fingers on the hopes that this surprise will be a positive one.

I am completely miffed, however, at why management would elect to skip out on such a big conference (at least in terms of exposure) if there is positive news to report (or hint at). Despite the notion that there may be a "grudge" against BTAB for the downgrade, intuition would suggest that the real reason would be embarassing earnings. If this is true, I just don't understand why management wouldn't preannounce or why they would have such a jolly cc a few weeks ago for that matter.

These past few months have been crazy!

The suspense and speculation over next week's numbers have almost taken on "Who Shot JR?" kind of proportions.

Oh well..at least this stuff keeps everyone on their toes.
