John,
This is the computer that the customer wants. The low price Compaq boxes have old technology. The low priced model I looked at had a slow modem that was built into the mother board and therefore couldn't be updated. The $699 investment in an Avail is a better choice because of the easy upgrade feature offered through open architecture.
