Well the Oracle management considered the Baan Aurum acquisition to be a huge success - this considering the Aurum product was apparently awful. They did some research into it and discovered Baan was having greater success than originally expected selling Aurum.

Of course this is kind of old news now.... I wonder how much of that success was just due to access to management issues within the installed base which is always an issue for a brand new space that SFA was. Now that everyone knows what SFA is, and who the players are maybe the in-house ERPs have less of an advantage? Just a thought.
