<Confessions of a retired bear>
As I understand, you had some big puts on Dell @ 25,30,35,40,45 and you started shorting @ 50. Can you afford to be wrong on Dell again? You know this dude lost close to 30 million dollars "selling naked calls" on Dell last year(30 mil. was the figure someone calculated that this dude McNamb musta lost had he executed all his trades as claimed on this thread). I made some little profits shorting Dell and covered when I got stopped out at 10%loss a few times.
I shudder to think what might have happened if I had stayed with my short over the past year. My portfolio would have been wiped out! I wouldn't be destitute since I have other resources(education, house, retirement plan etc.) but my years of saving and investing would have been lost.
Be good now. Take a loss and move on if Dell goes up a lot. On the other hand, I agree with you that if Dell shows ANY signs of weakness in the market, earnings, outlook etc. , watch out below! The good news is already built into the price of this stock. It has to surprise the whisper to go up. Ofcourse that's what Dell has been doing the past 3 years!

Ursa dude,
You know, the problem most people have with your posts over here seems to be that you make these cryptic predictions without specifying what exactly what you are predicting and why. I can't speak for anyone else but I am not totally adept at the fine art of mind reading, so it looks to me like you are just blowing smoke and then, when the price dips or adjusts as it inevitably does, in you come with the "I told you so, why were y'all so stupid as not to see the handwriting on the wall" post. It gives a kind of Madame Olga impression. Since you are obviously very knowledgeable and much more talented at spotting the warning signs of impending doom than I, would you be so kind as to be just a bit more explicit with your predictions and the rationale behind them? I don't think you would encounter nearly so much hostility if you would so oblige. Thanks way in advance for your kind consideration.
