thanks for the confession, but you understand incorrectly. Nobody knows my position in DELL on this board, and those who tell you they do just like to think they're the only ones making money (at least... they used to be making money). I may even have been long today and lost a little for my trouble? bottom line... my positions are my business.

good luck!

Paul,

I am long on DELL (selling naked puts, buying calls and stocks etc) and I have seen too many of my friends losing half a million to several million $$$ shorting DELL. The thing is, their life time savings were totally wiped out by shorting DELL (thanks to Bill Fleckstein!) and, of course, they were all professional players who had years of expierience on Wall Street.

I think that DELL is the most dangerous short because of its flawless execution. The other stock that I will not touch as a short is MSFT. The only way that you can short down Softie is with the heavy help from the government. I doubt that this will happen.

The bottom line is that MSFT & DELL are by far the two favorite issues of boomers. You just can't take the $$ away from them.:)

There are some shorters on this board who are absolutely crazy. The only DELL bear who has a tiny bit common sense confessed that he shorted DELL purely on valuation. He also claimed that there is no way he is going to win the argument with the longs because DELL's fundamentals are great. This issue is executed with perfection. So far.

good luck,
larry!
