Robin,

<<p.s. gc, this wasn't meant towards you, unless you fit the category>>

I am flattered but I really can't take the credit for driving the stock down from 55 to 18 1/2. I sold all of my PSFT position at 54 and warned the thread that it's going down in a big time. But, in teens? That surprises me too. Maybe I have done too good a job? <g>
I intend to buy back double amount of those sold shares either by mid-1999 or when it reaches low teens, whichever comes first.

Robin,

Who is spreading lies about PSFT? And who is "gobbling up" shares here? Obviously, something must have happened to cause Goldman Sachs to downgrade the stock, and they must have taken a HUGE loss when the sold a ton of shares upon their downgrade. Don't you think that there must be something with PSFT's story that concerns them a great deal for them to do that? If they were really trying to get your sares, there would be rampant buying here--clearly this is not happening.

You need to grasp the concept of opportunity cost, and also resign yourself to the fact that this stock will probably never trade at a multiple above 40-45 again. Although this is still an improvement over the current situation, it will never return to its previous premiums. If you accept this, you will save yourself some heartburn and find some way to enjoy your return, when and if it happens from here.

Just think about the volume you saw on the Goldman downgrade--40M +! Think about where those shares were purchased originally, in terms of price. They wouldn't take that loss if there were no legitimate concerns.

G

Well, well.....looks like those buttmunches are losing their hold on this stock. They can't keep a stock down forever.

Congratulations to those who bought PSFT at 18 7/8.

Sitting Pretty,

Robin

<I'm betting my blouse on this stock that it won't go any lower than 18>

Now THAT is a bet worth taking! My shirt for your blouse? ;)

Your on.

To be a buttmunch, you'd have to really know what is coming and prey on those that don't. In the case of the analysts following PSFT, they just parrot the company's comments and the management of PSFT only really came to understand their scenario for the next 16 months in the last 45 days. They put their pants on the same way you and I do and they aren't there trying to deceive us. They are doing the best they can, but they can't make people buy next year and now they know it. And they told us about it. Good for them. Its the jokers at JDEC and other places who DON'T see the freight train even still, that I worry about... Looks like the market will take care of it for them in JDEC's case.

You aren't at much risk here at $18 7/8, but $15 as Melissa I believe guessed, it not at all out of the realm of possibility.

PSFT and ORCL head to head is still my bet for the post 2000 battles. Java 3 tier vs. Tuxedo 3 tier. Should be fun to watch!
