Four trading days until the quarterly report. I think its time for a little optimism. THQ's lineup for the third quarter makes last year's look lame. And then we've got three major games for Q4, in NWO/Revenge, Rugrats, and WCW PC. The latter two are high margin and I still have an open challenge out for anyone to disagree with my contention that NWO/Revenge will outsell last year's WCW N64 game, quarter on quarter. Better gameplay, much larger installed N64 base, and twice the days on sale are my main reasons. Analysts are likely wrong in not predicting eps growth for THQ in the fourth quarter.

Plus, last year THQ's fourth quarter had few reorders, mostly WCW/World PSX. This year it should have lots of Devil Dice, NWO, etc.

So basically, I'm saying that the quarterly report will be strong and then we move into the huge fourth quarter. Don't know if we'll get the typical pre-earnings run--up or will settle for a post-earnings one, but either way look for a nice run soon.

More optimism later,
Marc

Speaking of Rugrats...

PSM online just ran a preview of it a few days ago. Check it out at

psmonline.com

Not a whole lot of new info (though I think at least a few of the screenshots are new), but it's nice to see the publicity. :-)
