I believe you are wrong here Rick.I believe the case was dismissed because PJ could not show how she was injured by BC's alleged behavior.

Weren't the affidavit and Clinton's testimony used to try to determine Clinton's "pattern of conduct" in the Jones case? That's how Willey and Lewinsky came into the picture. The basis of the decision may have been lack of provable injury to Jones, but the determination of Clinton's pattern of conduct was a major factor.

Do you honestly believe that there were only 115 cases brought for perjury in the last year or so? In the whole country?

That's what CNN said. I thought the figure was low; perhaps the number excludes those inmates who are in prison for other crimes as well as perjury. In other words, 115 folks did nothing illegal other than tell porkies while under oath.

They do not say mandatory jail time.Thus the law recognizes that some cases are more serious than others.

Either that or the defendant's role in the commission of the crime is more flagrant in some cases.
