This is not meant to be I told you so, but I've said here for months that this is not a stock to mess with.
Like it or not the Elephants love it. I believe it was the little guy and insiders bringing it down from 147 to present.
Only Merril I believe, decided that they had enough to eat.
Since the other Elephants currently own the pasture they continue to graze. Why should they leave? I think most of us already expect Bezos to beat his analyst's loss estimates.
He'll be able to give the Street some revenue gains with his Cd's and tapes and this concept stock will hang in there.

Nov puts, RIP....

I'm with you Jay. During one of those rare moments when AMZN went negative today, sold my Nov100 puts at a loss. I always lose money when I break my rule of never buying expirations less than two months. I was so sure AMZN owuld collapse, Glen was so sure, Jan was so sure....hey, I guess bearish sentiment is a contrarian indicator, LOL.

Anyway, I am waiting for this rate cut to play out. Everybody is getting excited now, they expect another rate cut at the Nov Fed Meeting. Still got my NVLS and GTW puts. Looking at shorting AOL and YHOO again, hoping for another crazy blowoff rally tomorrow.
