I have had this ledger for several weeks now, but something just now dawned on me that I had not noticed before.......

When I opened my checking account many years ago, it seems to me that my first check was numbered 0001. The first check written by MTEI is numbered 1889 on 6/1/98. Where are #'s 0001 thru 1888? Could it be that this was an existing checking account that belonged to someone else before it belonged to MTEI????
