Bill, the point is that in this climate of dirty tricks and negative campaigns that its almost impossible for someone to run on the issues and win, in either party. I will admit that Ronald Reagan ran on the issues in 1980 and won. That was the last time it happened to the best of my knowledge. Every campaign since that time has been mired with lowball tactics on both sides. I would have said both parties were about even in terms of dirty tricks until this kangaroo court courtesy of Mr Starr. Starr and those that support Starrs inane tactics have caused me to think republicans are lower than dems when it comes to slandering the other party members. Before Starr, I thought things were about even. Paul Simon, you are correct.
