Opps, sorry Joan. :-)

I understand what you're saying better now. Yes, I would agree that there tends to be a group of people (moralists) who do judge people based on their acceptance of this issue. I'm not sure that's the majority though. The people I talk about this issue with think the President is pretty much of a laughing stock. It's more of a look of what a pathetic leader he is. They can't believe he's our President, and try and turn a blind eye toward everything. Most I believe don't really care one way or another whether he stays or goes. All too many people have become completely cynical about the whole political process. They don't follow it, they don't think voting matters, and so they don't vote.

It's sad, but I believe that describes most Americans fairly accurately. Remember Clinton got less than half of the vote, from a vote of less than half of the people.

This whole episode will do nothing to heal American political cynicism.

Michael

Joan, after giving it some more thought, I would have to add that there are just as many people backing Clinton who are trying to silence people of moral principles into silence by lumping them in with the far right for having those belief's. It's not necessarily a religios affiliation which gives people principles of trust, and the belief in trustworthiness.

Values and principles come from a much deeper place in the human soul. They combine the religios elements of the far east, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, as well as the non religios belief's of Wicca's and atheists.

Trust, honesty, Integrity, courage, decency, and the principle of fairness are part of the Natural laws all human being live with. When they are broken, a bond has been severed.

We are witnessing the results of that happening now.

Sorry Borzou, but this is a clear example.
